At Srizanexclusive, we celebrate the rich heritage of handcrafted batik, hand embroidery, shibori and tie & dye artistry. Every piece we create is meticulously crafted in our own workshop, where skilled artisans bring designs to life with passion and dedication.
Our journey began with the artistic vision of our founder, Seema, whose deep love for painting and colors led her to explore batik as a medium of creative expression. Transforming plain fabric into a canvas of art, she blended tradition with innovation, reimagining batik in a contemporary style inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s artistic legacy of “Tuli Batik”.
Established on April 1, 2019, Srizanexclusive started as a passion project alongside a full-time job. However, in January 2020, Seema decided to dedicate herself entirely to this craft, overcoming challenges and building a community of artisans. Today, our team consists entirely of women, including not only talented artisans from rural areas but also the women in our own family—our mothers, aunts and other elder women—who have joined hands to keep this tradition alive. What was once just a simple pastime for them, like hand-stitching quilts, has now taken the form of a recognized art, giving them a sense of independence and pride.

Seema
Co-founder, Srizanexclusive
Seema is the heart and soul of Srizanexclusive. A trained artist with degrees in Fine Arts from Swar Sangam and Animation from Webel Toonz, her journey began with colours, brushes, and a sketchbook. For 16 long years, she worked in the corporate design world—where creativity met structure, but her soul longed for something more personal, more rooted.
Drawn to the grace of handcrafted art, Seema turned her attention to the disappearing traditions of batik, shibori, tie & dye, and kantha embroidery, learning some formally and inheriting others through family. In 2020, she gave shape to her long-nurtured dream by co-founding Srizanexclusive.
With her design sensibility, artistic discipline, and deep emotional connection to fabric and heritage, Seema breathes life into every creation. Today, she is joined by a community of like-minded women—fellow dreamers and creators—who are shaping Srizanexclusive into a collective of stories, skill, and soul.
Joy
Co-founder, Srizanexclusive
Joy spent 17 years in the professional world after completing his postgraduation in Bengali, before taking a bold leap into the world of handcrafted art. Inspired by Seema’s vision and driven by a shared purpose, he co-founded Srizanexclusive in 2020.
But Joy didn’t just stop at supporting the idea—he rolled up his sleeves and became a part of the craft himself. He formally trained in batik at Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission and the District Industries Centre, and learned the process of natural dyeing at the Weavers’ Service Centre. His hands now contribute directly to the creations that define the brand.
Alongside the artistic work, Joy remains deeply committed to the growth and well-being of the artisans behind the brand—working closely with them, ensuring they are seen, valued, and supported not just as workers, but as artists with dreams of their own. His role bridges both creation and care, making him an integral part of Srizanexclusive’s journey.

At the heart of Srizanexclusive is a shared dream—Seema’s creative vision and Joy’s commitment to people, coming together to build something meaningful. What started as Seema’s personal artistic journey has grown into a platform that honours traditional crafts, empowers artisans, and tells stories through every thread and colour.
